At the beginning of 2016, I started G.P.S., a Motivational Series on Youtube and in February, I released my first mixtape, Pursuing Significance. Why did I do this? Because I love helping people pursue their purpose! Part of the reason is because I know how difficult it has been for me to discover and develop my talents and skill-sets in order to pursue the dreams that live within me!

As an author, speaker, filmmaker and interpersonal communications coach, I create experiences to help you overcome the fears in life that keep you paralyzed. Then you can turn obstacles into opportunities and move from where you are to where you need and want to be!

Everything I do here is to help you become the best you possible. Are you ready for the journey? Let’s go!

Finding Your Strength

Where are you with finding your strengths? What do you think of this quote below? I’d love to ‘read your thoughts.’ – Allen Paul Weaver III

“Far too many people spend a lifetime headed in the wrong direction. They go not only from the cradle to the cubicle, but then to the casket, without uncovering their greatest talents and potential.” – Tom Rath, Strengths Finder 2.0

What Major Desires Move You?

What major desires live within you?

I’ll be 35 years old next month – if I live to see July 27th. I’m amazed at the fact that I’ve been around on this planet for over three decades. What amazes me most is that over 15 years ago – fresh out of high school -I attempted suicide – feeling that there was no future worth me waiting for. But God is merciful, because I’m still be here when so many others have succeeded in taking their own lives. So I can’t take any credit for that.I’m so grateful for the life I’m living. It’s not free from problems, but it is fulfilling and beyond my limited dreams.

So, I was thinking about my life today, and the realization hit me:there are four desires that have never changed.

1. I’ve always wanted to know God and what He requires of me (PURPOSE).

It’s been a long time…

A friend of mine emailed to check and see if I was doing alright. They had stopped by this blog and saw I hadn’t written in a while. I’m glad she did. It has been a while since my last post.

Things have been moving so fast and I’ve been balancing a lot: work, church, revisions and concept art for my new book, Speedsuit Powers (releases this Fall). I’m also reading Moving from Ordinary to Extraordinary: The Teen’s Guide to High School Success , by Dr. Sharnnia Artis . It’s a great read and is an excellent resource for teens transitioning from middle school to high school.

I’m also teaching a Wednesday night Bible study series at Bethesda Baptist Church of New Rochelle, NY. The topic of discussion is: PURPOSE. We’ve had a great time so far, since the first Wednesday in May.

Briefcase Coincidence

How do you determine if somthing is a coincidence or not? Here’s an interesting story. I’ve been carrying two briefcases to work for the past few days, because of the amount of work I’ve needed to get done. However, this morning, after getting dressed, I had this strong desire to only take one with me. After thinking about it, I consolidated things and left.

When I got to the train station (I take two trains to get to work) there was a huge crowd on the platform. It turned out one of the trains coming from another station had broken down. So everyone had to crowd onto this one – which also happened to be short on the number of passenger cars.

God Has A Plan For You…

Most of us have heard the words, "God has a plan for you." Well, they are more than words. It is true that God has a plan for each one of us. The question is whether or not we want that plan.

Many of us have been told that, "God wants us to prosper." Well, this is true as well. The question is whether or not our definition of prosperity is the same as God’s definition.

Let me tell you that what God has for you – the plan – the dreams – the desires that have been in His mind even before you were conceived in your mother’s womb… will be totally different from what YOU will want to do with your life. The plans God has for you will involve difficulty, uncomfortable times and circumstance, obstacles, rejection, misunderstanding, persecution and maybe even death.

“Desperation” by Allen Paul Weaver III

Here’s a piece I wrote back in2007. I think it may speak to where some people may feel themselves to be today.

“Desperation is what I feel… Somewhere deep inside I sense a longing, a desire to wake up from a dead dream long lived. I sense that a warrior dwells within my frame… a lover of truth and an explorer of realms unseen – my true self which had been locked away for so long, has been set free from the chains. And with each passing day I step through dark corridors of shadow and light – dust and darkness; somehow knowing that the doorway to complete freedom lingers in the distance, out of sight and just out of touch, yet drawing nearer… as the realization dawns on my mind like the morning sun; that deliverance was not my choice alone… For how can we know we are dreaming unless someone shakes us awake? The Creator of the Universe calls to me in quiet tones as my mind stirs and my eyes slowly open to blurred images receding into crystal clear hues of colors yet imagined, dwelling in a life meant to be lived.”
