At the beginning of 2016, I started G.P.S., a Motivational Series on Youtube and in February, I released my first mixtape, Pursuing Significance. Why did I do this? Because I love helping people pursue their purpose! Part of the reason is because I know how difficult it has been for me to discover and develop my talents and skill-sets in order to pursue the dreams that live within me!

As an author, speaker, filmmaker and interpersonal communications coach, I create experiences to help you overcome the fears in life that keep you paralyzed. Then you can turn obstacles into opportunities and move from where you are to where you need and want to be!

Everything I do here is to help you become the best you possible. Are you ready for the journey? Let’s go!

What Would God Say to Batman?

(Written by Allen Paul Weaver III. Originally published on AUGUST 30, 2008.)

God and The Dark Knight

“I was there at your birth, Bruce. I watched you grow. I saw your fears as well as your strengths. I knew who your parents would be and gave you Alfred, knowing he would be loyal and supportive of you to the very end.

“I was there the night your parents were killed. For years you didn’t understand. I felt your rage as you constantly asked ‘why?’ But it was I who shielded you that night and every day afterward, knowing that countless others would need who you would become as a result of your dark journey through the shadows of death. I knew the little children who would be abused. I knew the wives who would be beaten by their husbands. I knew the sons and daughters who would be kidnapped. I knew the citizens who would live in fear because of the criminals that roamed the streets and corporate boardrooms.

Comic Books

Comic Books What is your comic book ideology? An Ideology is: the body of doctrine, myth, belief, etc., that guides an individual, social movement, institution, class, or large group.

Take a look at the media and you will see that the stories of superheroes are on the rise. Heroes, Batman, Superman, Spiderman, X-Men, Iron Man, Hellboy, Fantastic Four, Jumper, Hancock, Star Wars, The Matrix, Unbreakable, Who Wants to be a Superhero? the list stretches on for miles and is an indication that peopleare searching for something So maybe it is a serious question to ask, How does your view of superheroes influence your life?

The Tinkering School

I just watched an amazing video on Ted.com. It’s about Gever Tulley,s Tinkering School. It seems like an excellent way to unleash creativity and problem solving. This definitely helps a person see the world from a different point of view: a solution-based perspective instead of a problem-based one.

I don’t know about you, but the older I get, the more I want to create things. I have ideas that have lived with me since I was a boy – inventive ideas that won’t leave. I need to create. I think we all – in various ways – need to create. God is the Master Creative Artist and humanity was made in God’s image… we are creators. But so many of us choose the status quo of ‘trying to make ends meet’ and ‘keeping where it’s safe andpredictable’,instead of venturing out into a truly creative realm.

What Major Desires Move You?

What major desires live within you?

I’ll be 35 years old next month – if I live to see July 27th. I’m amazed at the fact that I’ve been around on this planet for over three decades. What amazes me most is that over 15 years ago – fresh out of high school -I attempted suicide – feeling that there was no future worth me waiting for. But God is merciful, because I’m still be here when so many others have succeeded in taking their own lives. So I can’t take any credit for that.I’m so grateful for the life I’m living. It’s not free from problems, but it is fulfilling and beyond my limited dreams.

So, I was thinking about my life today, and the realization hit me:there are four desires that have never changed.

1. I’ve always wanted to know God and what He requires of me (PURPOSE).

168 Hour Film Festival

I had the privilege to attend the 168 Hour Film Festival in Glendale, California, which was founded by John David Ware. If you don’t know, 168 is a speed film making contest where teams have one week (168 hours) to produce a short film based on a theme and a bible verse. This year’s competition theme was ‘Family Business.’ The competition usually takes place in February/March and then the festival and awards ceremony happens in April.

There were 72 new films that were screened over the course of two days. Filming teams came from across the U.S. and from several countries around the world. It truly was a wonderful experience. What’s good about this is that you don’t have to be an expert to make a film. This is a great environment where novice and expert filmmakers can work side by side in order for each to grow in their gifts and talents. Also, you don’t have to be a Christian to enter this festival. You just have to be a person that wants to tell a great story using the theme and the scripture as the starting point in this creative process.
