Allen Paul Weaver III was born in Deland, Florida to Rev. Dr. Allen Paul Weaver Jr., and Mrs. Nettie Jean Weaver. He was raised in New Rochelle, New York.
Allen was licensed to preach in December 1994 and is a 1996 honors graduate of the historic and nationally known Bethune-Cookman University in Daytona Beach, Florida; holding a BA. Degree in Speech/Mass Communications.
In May 2000 Allen graduated with his Master of Divinity degree from Colgate Rochester Crozer Divinity School, in Rochester, New York. On July 8, 2000 he married the love of his life, Ijnanya Monique Shipman.
He was ordained in February 2005 and serves under the tutelage of Rev. Dr. Shellie Sampson Jr., at Thessalonia Worship Center in the Bronx, NY.
In 2006 he published, Transition: Breaking Through the Barriers, which is making an impact in the lives of readers across the country, aiding their journey towards a God-given future. He loves to write and is preparing additional literary works for publication.
God gave Allen the opportunity to fulfill one of his dreams by being the plenary speaker for the 1st Annual Speech Communication & Theatre Arts Conference held at his alma mater in January 2007: allowing him to encourage graduating students towards their dreams and purpose.
Currently, Allen is a Mission Specialist at the American Bible Society in New York City. He is also the Communications/Media Director for the African Initiative Mission Foundation, a non-profit group which does humanitarian work in West Africa. To date, Allen has traveled to seven African countries and produced documentaries on humanitarian work done in West Africa; a trip to Beijing, China; and various other projects.
As a speaker/teacher at retreats and workshops for youth, young adults and men, Allen dreams of using all of his gifts and talents to help mentor youth and young men and women towards their God given purpose.
“We all have a story” – says Allen Paul Weaver III, one that is significant… unique – a story from which others can learn. And the greatest story ever told, into which all of our stories are submerged, is the story of God loving humanity to such an extreme end, that Christ, was sent to redeem us from sin, our failings, evil and death; so that we could have a genuine relationship with the Creator of the universe, discover our true identity and fulfill His purpose for our lives!
