It’s been a while since I’ve posted anything. It wasn’t deliberate… it was just I didn’t have anything that I thought needed to be said.  Oh, and there’s also me being busy with my job, church, marriage, Speedsuit Powers novel and a baby on the way.  And I just returned from a 10 day trip in Ghana, West Africa and spent over a week being sick.  That gives a person a lot of time to think about life -although I think it may be impossible to think clearly while congested :-)

Anyway, here I am at 3:17am catching up on emails and Facebook messages from friends and I discovered a birthday message from Andrew T. Carr.  Andrew and I have never met (except virtually), but his message hit home.  What’s funny (or sad) depending on how you look at it is that my birthday was in July and I just read his message today.

Andrew’s Birthday message to me:
"This day is more than your birthday. It is your personal New Year. It is a day to celebrate, to give thanks, for planning and for anticipation. May you be blessed and be a blessing this day and every day. Happy Birthday (Happy Personal New Year)!
-Andrew T. Carr"

What hit me was that I never thought about my birthday in these terms. Usually we think that our "official do-over day" happens at the beginning of the new year. But it’s great to know that we each have a second "official do-over day". I don’t know… but I found myself encouraged and wanted to share this with those who visit my blog.  What’s really exciting is that every day we wake up is a new opportunity to grow, develop and change as needed.  So celebrate the "official days" and also celebrate the "everydays" as well.  You will find that your eyes will be open to new opportunities and your life fulfillment will increase.

Just in case you’re wondering: Andrew Carr is a results-driven businessman, motivational speaker, leader, strategist, change manager, relationship manager and public policy analyst. Go to www.linkedin.com/in/andrewtcarr, for a complete profile.
