I know it’s 2010, but I don’t have much to say at this point.  It’s said that if you want a productive blog, you have to write new content weekly. But quite honestly, I haven’t had anything that I’ve been burning to write about.

This doesn’t mean I haven’t thought about what to write:

At the top of the list is to write about entering this new year of 2010 - but what could I say that hasn’t already been said? We all want to make changes in our lives and the new year helps us become determined to do so, even though we may not always be successful. Ultimately, we need to figure out what is truly a priority to us and… as Nike’s slogan says… just do it. The truth is that we make time for the things we really want to do.  There’s no more time to give into fear and trepidation - allowing it to paralyze us. We’re not getting any younger.

I could write about “Avatar” - saw it three times - one in each format - 2D, 3D regular screen, 3d Imax. James Cameron did an excellent job.  I can see why it has resonated with so many people around the world. I really enjoyed the movie and have begun to formulate my thoughts about it in order to be able to present a cinematic, social, political and spiritual perspective.

I could also talk about “The Book of Eli” - really enjoyed Denzel Washington’s latest movie. I don’t think it was what anyone expected - with the inclusion of so much biblical truth and simple wisdom, melded with a stark reality of an apocolyptic world where “niceness” gets you killed for no reason at all.  There’s a lot to this movie beneath the surface - issues about the existence of God, the nature of His Will, Using the Bible for freedom or enslavement, the place of violence in our lives… and much more.

I could also talk about my new book, Speedsuit Powers - how it’s impacting lives and more and more people are reading it. It seems that everywhere I turn, someone is talking about this epidemic called bullying. This novel address this issue head on. People are already asking when Book 2 will be released.  We’re prepping to launch a major marketing campaign in the upcoming weeks because more people need to know about this book and the options/resources it presents.  I’ve already had two television interviews and I’m taking on speaking engagements.  We’re also prepping for a book tour, the graphic novel, the audio book and the movie (among other things).

I could also talk about what’s going on in my heart - my journey to truly focus on what matters most to me, my desire to live in God’s perfect will; my aim to overcome the various faces of fear that seek to keep me from pressing forward to impact others. There’s so much inside of me that I haven’t done yet; and I don’t want to die without making a strong attempt at accomplishing these dreams.

So here we are, one month into 2010. I find myself being very contemplative about who I am in relation to God and the world.  I find myself beginning to listen more and talk less.

What’s going on in your life?
