Did you hear about the man, Greg LeNoir, who punched a shark?  His dog, a rat terrier named Jake, was swimming in the ocean, down in Florida Keys and a shark came up, and pulled it under.  The man dives into the water and starts punching the shark!  The shark releases the dog and swims away!  Why did the owner jump in to save his dog?  Because he loved the dog.  Because the dog was a part of the man’s family.  Wow! 

This reminds me of God.  Humanity was swimming in the ocean of life and a big, shark came and snatched us - clamping down on us so hard that we could not free ourselves - then it pulled us under.  We would have surely perished.  But God, because of his love for us, dives into the water and punches the shark - forcing that shark - the devil - to release us so that we could be free and come back home.  Imagine how much we love our dogs… God loves us infinitely more!
