If you haven’t read my first Dog Whisperer post, then click HERE.
Did you hear about the man, Greg LeNoir, who punched a shark? His dog, a rat terrier named Jake, was swimming in the ocean, down in Florida Keys and a shark came up, and pulled it under. The man dives into the water and starts punching the shark! The shark releases the dog and swims away! Why did the owner jump in to save his dog? Because he loved the dog. Because the dog was a part of the man’s family. Wow!

FINALLY! The Iron Man DVD is here! Just released today! I’ve been waiting for the DVD since Opening Day back in May. I’ve been saving my change for months and picked it up on my lunch break. It helps when there’s a Bestbuy right across the street.
(Although it takes a lot of discipline to stay away from those un-necessary purchases. But I”m making it, thanks for asking.)

Have you ever watched The Dog Whisperer ? It’s a facinating show! A family has a dog who doesn’t listen and acts up. In many cases the dog is the "boss" of the house. Then Ceasar Millan comes in and is able to connect with the dog, deal with the dog’s issues, explain to the owners what they’re doing right and wrong, walk them all through a time of rehabilitation and leaves the family (dog included) in a greater state of growth than before he came. It’s amazing to watch. It causes me to think about times past with my own dogs.

It Is The Question That Drives Us
What is the power of the Saiyan? Why does it draw men? I don’t know about you, but I get a thrill when Goku or Vegeta or Gohan power up to Supersaiyan – especially when Goku powers up to Super Saiyan 3! The raw power is tremendous! And let’s not talk about the fight scenes against Majin Buu or Brolly!
But I just had a realization about a major draw – if not THE major draw of the series. It’s a deep-seated urge that most of us men may not even realize unless we take the time to think about it: it is an epic saga about Fathers and Sons . It’s a story about Mentorship .

Have you ever asked the question, “Why me?” We don’t tend to ask this when we receive something we want. When we get something good, we think, “Why not me?” But when things go bad, one of the first questions we tend to ask is: “Why is this happening to me?”
Perhaps you’re in a tough situation right now and are asking this very question. Or you may know someone who’s asking this question. Maybe you’ve just watched a movie where the main character asks the question: like Thomas Anderson (aka - Neo) in the first Matrix movie; or Bruce Wayne in Batman Begins.

My wife and I just finished watching the movie Antwone Fisher (starring Denzel Washington and Derek Luke). It was on television. It’s a powerful movie that is an excellent reminder that we can overcome the fears and obstacles. It’s a great movie about mentoring and speaking the truth about our lives in order to press toward internal and external freedom.
I remember when it came out, (Denzel Washington’s directorial debut) I took a young man, Michael Spencer (who’s now in the Marines) to see it. This is a great movie for African American men and women to see. What’s even more amazing is that the movie is based on the actual life of Antwone Fisher . When you get a chance - Watch it.

Did you know that seeing is reality? Simply put, what you and I are able to see affects our perspective on life. And how we act is based on how we perceive. How do you see your life?
Getting off the Train
Yesterday, I took the train into Grand Central Station and proceeded on my usual walk to catch the subway. There’s a long tunnel that everyone has to walk through to get to the shuttle to Times Square/42nd St. There’s usually various advertisements for different television shows on the wall. But, this time there were only different versions of advertisements for the same show: HEROES.
