My Greatest Struggle…
This is my greatest struggle in life… to overcome mediocrity.

I feel myself constantly at the window of opportunity… able to look out but unable to fully break through.
On the other side of that window is an existence I have imagined my whole life - every day - every breath - every heartbeat…

Even now as I write - tears fall from my eyes because I know the desire is strong to be free.
Because my greatest struggle beyond all fleshly vices and fears is mediocrity: working below my ability and knowing that the creativity and inspiration within me screams to break free. Yet somehow my mind has them locked in chains. The structures of thought enslaving them to a lesser degree.

I pray to God for the ability and knowhow to break free.
To be able to truly SEE - for without a vision all people perish - including me.
So my prayer is to live a life of full capability - to live my life at full capacity - to give my life so all can see and give glory to God, my Father heavenly.

What is your greatest struggle? Do you want to be free?

I really liked this blog.. It makes alot of sense. I want to be free from something as well. I want to be free from the captivity that my mind is in. Right at this moment i put God on the back burner. Now i start drinking on occation I only did it twice but i dnt no if that something i will continue doing. THen i get moody for no reason i jus want to be free from all of this crap. I no pray and all that good sstuff but like its hard to get into the swing of things especially since i havent done it in so long. but i guess if im passionate enough ill do it right lol

M,
Thank you for writing and being honest about where you are. So many people find this difficult to do and would rather keep things to themselves. The fact that you have chosen to speak up means that you know you want to change and become all that God wants you to be. It sounds like you already know what you need to do. You know what doesn\’t satisfy and where you need to be.
That\’s what we all struggle with: knowing where we need to be, even want to be but still choosing the things that don\’t do us any good. The habits are hard to break. But the longer we keep doing the things we know we don\’t need to do, the more difficult it is to stop. Not impossible… just harder.
You say you know you need to pray? Then pray. Sometimes when I really feel overwhelmed, I may only be able to pray three words: \”Jesus, help me.\” But those are three of the most powerful words there are - and if we mean it from the depths of our heart, then Jesus will surely give us strength. He promises never to leave us nor forsake us as we seek and struggle to do His will.
Be encouraged. Begin doing what you need to do - one step at a time, one day at a time. The consequences for continuing down the wrong path will be more than you will want to deal with.
Thanks again for sharing \”your greatest struggle.\”
I\’ll leave you with the same question I closed this post with:
Do you want to be free?
