Posted by gar_dien under Announcements , Risks and OpportunitiesNo Comments
Hey everyone. I just wanted to let you know that I’m presently in Brussels, Belgium - on my way to Rwanda and Burundi - two countries in Central Africa to do some documentary film work. More to come in two weeks when I get back (Including photos!) I’m traveling with two great people, the husband and wife team from Throwing Light Photography. They produce excellent work! Drew is a professional photographer and his wife Leah is a journalist. You can check out their work at www.throwinglight.com .
Stay tuned.

Just wanted to post an update. As you already know (see my previous Biola post below) I was able to attend the Biola Media Conference in Studio City, CA. I just found out that my quote was used in their recap of the event. Pretty exciting. Here’s the link below so you can check it out.

I love my mother and don’t mind letting the entire world know about it. Share this with all of the "moms" in your life.

On May 3rd, I had the opportunity to attend the 13th annual Biola Media Conference, which was held on the backlot of CBS Studios in California. Usually it’s held at Biola University which is also in California.
The Biola Media Conference is one of the largest gatherings of Christians who work in various aspects of the Hollywood industry. This is my second time attending.

It was an amazing time of discovery, as we delved into the direction digital media was taking, as well as the Hollywood studios, which influence not only our American culture, but cultures on every continent of this world.

May is "Asian Pacific Heritage Month." On Monday, May 5th, I was blessed with the opportunity to bring the message at a weekly worship service. Particularly humbling was the fact that I am an African-American who, on this day, was asked to help celebrate the rich and diverse Asian culture within the context of the multi-cultural body of Christ. There were many people present from various Christian denominations and ethnic groups. You can listen to the service below. The entire service is just under 30 minutes.
