THE POWER OF WORDS

There is a power that comes from being able to verbalize the dreams that live within you… Fear often keeps us from giving sound to thought. Yet, when we are able to declare our intentions - faith builds within us.

What is the dream that lives within you… the dream that has never died… the dream that refuses to remain ignored - trapped in the darkness and flooded over with layers of life’s concerns? God has placed at least one dream within each of us - as a seed waiting to take growth when we come to Him through Christ. This… deepest of dreams will always be larger and more engrossing than any dream we can create ourselves. (1 Corinthians 2:9-10)

OUR INTERNAL STRUGGLE

A passage from my book states: “Is this a brainwashing scheme devised by an unseen foe? Or is it maybe one of my own design? No matter how high I get the chains resist ascension.” (”Slavery”/ p.21/ Transition: Breaking Through the Barriers)

When I think about the dream that lives within me… there are times when I can move towards it with ease - and other times when each step is taken against the hurricane force, gale winds of unbelief, fear and doubt. Sometimes I run from my dream. At other moments I have sabotoged my advancement and underestimated my own significance. Yet the dream lives within… quietly calling my name… telling me that I am more than what I think; that there is a definite, significant place in life where I can make a wonderful difference!

The dream that lives within you whispers the same thing: you are more than what you think…

THE ENEMY’S DECEPTION

Have you ever faced an internal attack on your self-image? How does this make you feel? Are there areas in your life where you seem to break through, only to encounter resistance later in life? The enemy wants each of us to think we are not worthy to receive the destiny that is laid up for us. The deception tells us we can never change - grow - be free. If we take on this mindset, we will never become who God intended us to be and we will never impact the lives of those God wanted us to impact.

Yet, if we can begin to verbalize the dream… we have taken the first step towards our destiny. Don’t be afraid to say it! Begin to write it down - in all of its intricacies. Bring your imagination to bare on it and begin to see it - especially when everything around you seems to scream the contrary.

THE LIGHT OF TRUTH

God told His prophet, Habakuk, “Write the vision and make it plain on tablets, that he may run who reads it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time; But at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.” (vs.2-3)

What deep dream lives within you? It will only come to pass when you co-operate with God. If you live your life in fear - playing things safe and small- your existence will be miniscule at best. God has a life beyond anything you could ever imagine - just waiting. Pray for strength, understanding and direction. Determine that you will set your focus. Move towards it. By God’s grace, begin to live the life you were created to live. Destiny is waiting on you.
